Garrett Schall - Senior Pastor
Pastor Garrett Schall is deeply grateful for the call to serve as Senior Pastor of Faith Evangelical Free Church. He loves opening God’s Word, caring for people, and helping others grow in a real and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. His heart for ministry is simple: to faithfully preach the gospel, shepherd God’s people, and walk alongside individuals and families through every season of life. Garrett received his undergraduate theological training at New Brunswick Theological Seminary, where he developed skills in communicating biblical truth with clarity, humility, and grace; especially in settings where people strongly disagreed. He later earned his Master's from Westminster Theological Seminary, where his commitment to Scripture-centered, gospel-driven ministry was further shaped and strengthened.
Pastor Garrett believes that preaching should transform both mind and heart. He often says that every sermon should help us see who God truly is, understand ourselves more honestly, and discover how the good news of Jesus brings the two together. His goal is not simply to teach information, but to help people encounter Christ and be changed by Him. More than anything, Garrett desires to know the people of the church personally and to be part of their walk with Christ, no matter where they are starting. Whether someone is exploring faith for the first time, returning after years away, or has followed Jesus for decades, he longs to listen well, pray faithfully, and shepherd with patience and care.
Pastor Garrett met the love of his life, Marissa, in 2017, and together they are blessed with four children and treasure family life as one of God’s greatest gifts. They enjoy spending time outdoors, long drives, opening their home in hospitality, and building genuine relationships within the church and community. Garrett is excited to serve the congregation of Faith Evangelical Free Church and the surrounding area. He prays that the church will be a place where people encounter the grace of Christ, grow deeply in faith, care for one another as family, and boldly share the hope of the gospel with the world
Kevin Engholm - Elder
The Engholm family has been attending FEC for 25 years. Kevin, Psy.D., is the founder of his own Executive Coaching and Consulting business, specializing in leadership development and organizational transformation. He has served as an Elder for the past six years, is a member of the board, and leads the Adult Foundations Course, alongside other ministries, including the Men’s Bible Study.
Elvira, his wife, chairs the church’s Missions Committee and serves as one of our English-Spanish translators. She is also actively involved in leadership within a local chapter of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) International.
Their two daughters, Rebecca and Gabriela, both actively serve in the church’s music ministry, while their eldest daughter, Miranda, lives with her husband Tom in Ohio.
