PRAYER/SCRIPTURE READING: [Isaiah 9:1-7 CSB] [1] Nevertheless, the gloom of the distressed land will not be like that of the former times when he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali. But in the future he will bring honor to the way of the sea, to the land east of the Jordan, and to Galilee of the nations. [2] The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. [3] You have enlarged the nation and increased its joy. The people have rejoiced before you as they rejoice at harvest time and as they rejoice when dividing spoils. [4] For you have shattered their oppressive yoke and the rod on their shoulders, the staff of their oppressor, just as you did on the day of Midian. [5] For every trampling boot of battle and the bloodied garments of war will be burned as fuel for the fire. [6] For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. [7] The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.

MISSIONARY IN FOCUS:

·  Gene and Linda Wilson: Gene and Linda have been church planters in Quebec and involved in church planting coaching in Latin America. Gene serves with ReachGlobal as the Director of Church Planting. He develops and equips people for the multiplication of healthy, transformational churches around the globe. Gene works with key leaders from Latin America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East to foster partnerships with national leaders and coach and train nationals for church multiplication.

·  Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Join us at 6:00 PM Tuesday 12/24 for our Christmas Eve Service.

·  House of Prayer: Join us from 7:30-8:30 PM each Tuesday evening on Zoom for a devotional and prayer time. Click here to join the meeting.

· Wednesday Bible Study: Join us from 7:00-8:00 PM each Wednesday evening at FEC for our mid week bible study and sermon review. Bring your questions!

· Operation Christmas Child - Pack a box and drop it off at church from November 17th thru 24th. Boxes are on the table in the back of the church sanctuary.

· ‘Foundations’ - Come join us each Sunday at 9:30 AM as we go through and discuss the historic doctrines of the Christian Faith, digging into their scriptural foundations. NOTE: We will not have Foundations on 12/29 or on 1/5, and will reinitiate on 1/12/25.

·  Spotify & Apple Podcasts: All FEC sermons are now available on Spotify and iApple Podcasts (click to subscribe).

·  The next Men’s and Women’s Bible Study along with Youth Adults Bible Study, will be Thursday, November 14th, 2024 and will happen every other Thursday going forward.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:

·     Sound Person needed! No experience necessary. Looking for an assistant in the Sound Booth for a couple times per month during service. Please see Dom or Randy in the Sound Booth for more info.

·     Podcast management: Each week we convert our Sunday sermon into a podcast. We are looking for someone to edit and convert the audio file and upload it to our website. Total time is about 30-45 minutes per week. Training will be provided. Please email Pastor Pat for details @ pastorfefc@gmail.com .

·     Streaming Video Projection/Slide Operator: We are looking for assistants to help operate our live streaming and slide presentation during the worship service. Please email Pastor Pat for details @ pastorfefc@gmail.com .

·     Kings Kid’s Helpers Needed: We are still in need of teachers to cover the children’s church classes every Sunday. If you’re interested in helping, please see the sign up sheet in the back of the sanctuary.

FALL SCHEDULE:

·    Worship Service - Each Sunday at 11:00 AM.

·    Sunday Bible Study - Each Sunday at 9:30 PM

·    Men’s, Women’s and Youth Group - Every other Thursday

·    The Lord’s Supper - First Sunday of each month during our 11:00 AM worship service.
